Transylvania University

Van Stoutt ’93 was a three-time All-American on theTransylvania swim team. When he graduated, he held three individualand three relay school records and continues to be therecord-holder in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle. He placedfourth in the 100 freestyle in the NAIA National Championship in1992 and was a member of the team that defeated the University ofLouisville in a dual meet. He was the Pioneer Male Athlete of theYear in 1993.
