Transylvania University

Stan Hadley ’53 was a four-year letterman for theTransylvania men’s basketball team, playing for coaches HarryStephenson and C.M. Newton. He was part of the transition toscholarship players in the men’s basketball program duringNewton’s first two seasons. Stan was named Mr. Pioneer in1953 and was the president of the student council as a senior. Heserved as president of the Alumni Executive Board in 1996/1997 andis the recipient of a Distinguished Service Award (1998) and theMorrison Medallion (2000).
