Phillip Stewart was not only a star basketball and tennisplayer during his college days but a leader on campus as well.During his senior year, he was co-captain of the basketball team,vice president of his fraternity, president of Lampas, and a memberof the T-Day Court. He was class president as a freshman andsophomore, and was vice president of the Student Council and firstattendant to Mr. Pioneer his junior year.

He received the prestigious Pioneer Athletic Award for hisoutstanding contributions to intercollegiate sports, and he waslisted in Who's Who in American Colleges andUniversities.
