Jack Ebel ’77 has been associated with Transylvaniaas a student, teacher, and coach for three decades. Ebel playedtennis and golf during his collegiate career and served as headcoach of both the swimming and diving and tennis teams. Ebel wastennis coach from 1979-2000, winning several conference anddistrict titles. He founded the school swimming program in 1978 andcoached numerous All-Americans, earning national Coach of the Yearhonors. Ebel also founded the school’s highly successfulsummer All Sports Camp. He also served as Transy's athleticsdirector.
