Lynn Siebers Ricketts was a versatile athlete, playingfield hockey, tennis, and basketball at Transy. She won the KWICtennis doubles title in 1975 and played forward for the basketballteam and was captain her senior year.

Ricketts was the first woman to receive the Pioneer Athleteof the Year Award, and she was involved in many campusorganizations, clubs, and honoraries, and during her senior yearwas named Miss Transylvania, an honor she shares with her mother,Joyse Sanders Siebers '44, and her sister, Kim B. Siebers Cornetet'81.

An outstanding student, Ricketts graduated magna cum laudeand received a master's degree in physical education from theUniversity of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
