Kim Ward Barrie ’83 lettered in basketball, field hockey,and cross country during her Transylvania career, earning numerousawards in the process. She was among the team scoring andrebounding leaders in basketball, was a three-time all-conferencechoice in field hockey, and won the NAIA state championship incross country. She was the female Pioneer Athlete of the Year in1982.
