Dale Cosby ’74 was a four-year letter-winner for theTransylvania men’s basketball program. With 1,881 points, hewas the Pioneers’ career scoring leader when he graduated,holding the mark for over 10 years. He continues to hold schoolrecords for field goals made and attempted. Under coach Lee Rose,he was the key member of teams that won 20 or more games threetimes and qualified for the NCAA Tournament twice. He was selectedto the 1972 All-NCAA Tournament team and was Pioneer Athlete of theYear in 1974.
