Jan Alvey Ward ’93 was an NAIA All-American whileearning letters in swimming and diving for four years atTransylvania. A cum laude graduate, she was a member of the ChiOmega sorority, serving as president. She was a three-timeAll-American in the 400 individual medley and was the Pioneerrecord-holder in the 200 butterfly for more than 15 years. She wasalso a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete. She was named female PioneerAthlete of the Year in 1993.
